Chat
Chat is a conversational interface that knows about your Custom RAAM profile and the properties you've scored. You ask questions in plain English and it answers in your terms — referring to your weights, your requirements, and the specific properties you've looked at.
What Chat is good for
- "Why did this property score lower than that one?"
- "Which of these three would fit my family best?"
- "Summarize my profile in two sentences."
- "What are the biggest red flags on my top-scored property?"
- "If I relax School Quality by ten points, which of these moves the most?"
Chat is fast, free-tier, and scoped to what's already in your account. It's the right tool for interpreting scores you don't immediately understand.
What Chat isn't
Chat does not change your profile for you. For weight changes, use Building your profile or Advisor — Chat can suggest a weight adjustment in a sentence, but the actual change happens elsewhere.
Chat also isn't Advisor. Advisor is a paid, persona-driven expert consultation (appraiser, buyer's agent, investor, etc.) available at the Starter tier and up. Chat is the free general-purpose interpreter. The Chat page's header sometimes reads "RAAM Advisor Chat" for historical branding reasons; treat that label as interchangeable with "Chat" — the underlying tool is the free-tier one.
How to use it
- Open Chat from your Dashboard.
- Type a question. Chat has access to your profile and every property you've scored — you don't need to re-paste any of it.
- If Chat's answer references a specific property or factor, click through for the full context. Chat links back to the underlying pages when relevant.
- Clear the conversation with the trash icon if you want to start fresh; history is preserved per session.
A worked example
You scored three properties in Newton last night — they came in at 81, 72, and 65. The 65 confused you because it's the one you liked best in person. Open Chat and ask "why did 45 Maple score 65?" Chat answers that the property scored very well on School Quality and Community Diversity but hit you on Value for Money (flagged at 48) and Home Age (22, older than your profile tolerates). That's actionable: if you genuinely don't mind the age and you're willing to stretch on price, your profile's Home Age weight is too high relative to your actual preferences. Jump into Build and adjust.
Common questions
- Does Chat see my personal data? It sees the profile and analyses attached to your account. Nothing outside that.
- Can Chat score a new property for me? Quick Score and the Dashboard's analyze input are where scoring happens; Chat references existing scored properties.
- Does it remember previous conversations? Within a session, yes. Between sessions, the clear-history button resets it.
